Living in Skerries, north of Dublin, Ciara Allen is a singer/wongwriter and a self-taught guitarist. She has been playing music and writing songs since 2000. She has played in the usual haunts such as the Voodoo lounge and in Isaac Butts and has been featured on NearFM She has been compared to Gemma Hayes but with a bit more sould in her sound. She is a fan of various styles of music from Pealr Jam, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and System of a Down, through to Gemma Hayes, Nina Hynes, Damien Rice, Damien Dempsey, the Frames and Mundy. |
